WHAT IS MEDICAL CLUB?
The Harker School's Medical Club is a group of students that share the common interest of being a medical professional in the future. In the past, we have hosted dissections, diagnosis events, professional speaker events, and journal club meetings. We've also initiated a mentorship program that pairs students with doctors from across the Bay Area.
Due to COVID-19, people around the world have adjusted to staying at home and avoiding social interaction as much as possible. However, healthcare professionals face a different reality: they work countless extra days and nights, selflessly risking their own health and safety to help others. We wanted to convey our gratitude for these brave nurses, physician assistants, and doctors for all their sacrifices. Thus, we created a video in which the Harker community united virtually with messages of thanks from every advisory. Although this video only touches upon our infinite appreciation, we hope that it shares our admiration for all the professionals on the frontlines.
