ABOUT THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The Harker School Medical Club provides opportunities for members of our club to connect with medical professionals in the bay area through our mentorship program. Students and mentors communicate throughout the year not only through phone calls and emails, but also in person. Mentors play an important role, teaching club members about their profession and answering questions. Mentors also guide mentees in writing an essay on a medical topic announced in the fall. The winner of the essay contest has their work published in our high school research journal, Harker Horizon.
